Alert Configuration

Create alerts in Datadog to stay ahead of issues:

1. Pipeline Failure

Trigger when syncsage.pipeline.success_rate < 95% over 1 hour.

2. Slow dbt Jobs

Trigger when syncsage.dbt.job_runtime > 2h.

3. Cost Overrun

Trigger when syncsage.snowflake.credits_used exceeds daily budget.

4. Security Risk

Trigger on syncsage.auth.failed_logins > 10 in 5 minutes.

In Datadog, navigate to Monitors > New Monitor.
Select the SyncSage metric (e.g., syncsage.pipeline.success_rate).
Define thresholds and notification channels (Slack, Email, PagerDuty).
Add tags like env:prod or team:analytics for filtering.
